Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Using food for your medicine is the best bang for your buck!

These beauties will help balance the microbiome of the gut. They are what we call vermifuges, driving out unwanted critters from our gut, okay I will say it worms!

Besides pumpkin seeds there are other foods that accomplish that very same thing and they are walnuts, onions and garlic.

COOK TIME: 45 minutes

OVEN TEMP: 300 degrees F (150 degrees C)

  • 1 1/2 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds

  • 2 teaspoons Ghee, melted (clarified butter best for blood type A) - Learn more about Genetic Based Nutrition HERE.

  • 1 pinch salt

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).

  2. Toss seeds in a bowl with the melted butter and salt.

  3. Spread the seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown; stir occasionally

P.S. avoid putting these things in your compost pile where you want the worms to show up.
