A powerhouse natural antibiotic, anti fungal and antibacterial, garlic can tackle almost any illness. For chest colds or ear aches, put cut or diced cloves of garlic in olive oil and let set for at least 15 minute. For a cough or cold use the oil to rub on the chest. For an ear ache rub the oil on the neck from the ear lobe down to the sternal notch (located at the bottom of you neck in the center) - do not put oil in the ear. For adults, you can make a hot toddy by finely mincing 1-2 cloves of garlic and float in a small glass of water. Add some local raw honey and then drink. Garlic is one of my favorites because it strengthens your immune system and it is handy and affordable.
Note: Pregnant women should not take more than 1 clove of garlic medicinally per day. In cases of Asthma attack or breathing call 911 immediately (a rectal suppository of garlic has restored normal breathing in minutes).
